Dawsons Game & Trout Lodge is surrounded by beautiful nature near the town of Badplaas. A total of 16 guests can be accommodated at the lodge in 8 spacious and comfortable rooms. The hotel is owner run who takes pride in making sure his guest have the best possible experience.

The lodge is near the towns of Machadadorp at the end of a magnificent, secluded valley. The Wildlife Reserve is a piece of paradise sitting on 5000 acres which are filled with trout dams and herds of game. Guests enjoy refreshing sundowners while observing herds of Eland, Zebra, Impala, Springbok, Wildebeest and Impala.

The famous Nelshoogte Pass is only a few minutes away, and it winds its way through some of oldest rock formations in the world. The pass is the gateway to the Barberton's gold rush. Thanks to this gold rush, the town of Barberton was the site of South Africa's first stock exchange.

The Dawsons Country Lodge offers eight rooms which are decorated in a colonial African theme providing comfort and style. Every room at the lodge features an en-suite bathroom with a big bathtub, a spacious shower as well as heated towel rails. The rooms fireplaces offer warmth and coyness during the cooler months of the year.

Two self-catering options are also available for guests. The Homestead at the Cottage can be exclusively booked out for larger groups and families and offer kitchens, lounges and multiple rooms.
